Called “El País dels Pirineus” or “the country of the Pyrenees”, Andorra has borders with France on the southern side and Spain on the northern side.
Andorra is located on the eastern side of the Pyrenees. It is a small territory made up of narrow valleys surrounded by high mountains.
Andorra is bordered by ridges on three sides: the West, the North and the South-East. An upper basin of the Valira River runs through the country from one end to the other.
